I love it when stuff like this happens

I have two problem sets due on Friday, one for Econ 50 and one for Econ 102A. I took a quick look at the former yesterday and started doing the problems, did 4 out of 11 of the problems before getting stuck. Now (in Econ 50 lecture) i just took another look at the problem set and realized questions 8-11 are just for practice. So I don't have to do them. So I've done 4 out of 7 questions, and it's not even Wed night yet.

Little things that bless my day. :)

On a side note, just came back from Monterey on Sunday. Had a pretty good time there, the company was fantastic. Miss them already. I'll post pictures when I get round to downloading them onto my com (yes I have a SD card reader now... yay).

Leopard is cool... but...

"If only one printer queue exits and this queue was created via Bonjour, it will be automatically recreated as part of the Mac OS X 10.5 installation process. Products using device drivers with VISE Installer v2.x will currently not run on Mac OS X Leopard. This includes HP Scanjets and HP Photosmart digital cameras... HP plans to release software updates in 30 to 60 days."

sigh. Patience is a fruit of the Spirit.

1st Midterm of the Year

I got 101/110 for my Econ 50 midterm!! The amazing thing is half the time I don't pay attention in lectures and I didn't really put a LOT of effort into studying for the midterm. Somehow grades still do matter to me but it's not as big a deal as before, so I didn't get so stressed this time which I guess was good. Anyway praise God cos the mean was like 84 so I'm way above it (I think).

Just got back from LA last night. Drove down on Friday morning to perform at Claremont College on Fri night. Got a speeding ticket on the way down. :P I'm not too bummed by it now... I think. Performance itself went pretty well.

Yesterday was great, 2 other guys came with me in my car to check out Hollywood Boulevard - it's really surprisingly ghetto and run-down. The cameras make it look so glitzy and all but it's ALL fake... the sidewalks with the stars with celebrities' names on them aren't that big, and the boulevard itself is mostly just like any other street.

Anyway after that we happened to bump into the other two cars not too far out of LA on the freeway. Damn cool. Divine planning perhaps. :) Then we got lunch (best Mexican food I've ever had) and then drove along Highway 1 which is a highway that hugs the pacific (west) coast. VERY pretty. We stopped to watch the sunset... it's amazing when you kill the engine and there's absolutely no sound around you, and you just watch those far away waves silently, slowly slowly creeping into shore. Really gave me a different sense of what God's peace means.

I'll post pictures when I have them. Still haven't got a SD card reader or a cable for my camera. But Joe (one of the guys in my car) took some pictures so I'll post them when I have them.
